January: Week 5

And just like that we are wrapping up our first month of the year! These truths from God's word have been so rich to learn and practice. 

Our elementary life groups finished their series strong with knowing when to STOP. Proverbs 25:16 tells us that too much of a good thing - isn't always a good thing! Talk about this idea with your child. When is moderation the BEST choice? Maybe its limiting screen time, foods that aren't super healthy, etc. Jesus calls us to take care of our bodies and to know when it's too much of a good thing!

Preschoolers took to learning about a house that was built on the ROCK versus a house that was built on the sand. We bet if you ask them which house is the safest - they'll know the answer! (hint: it has to do with a firm foundation) The story can be found in Matthew chapter 7, verses 24-27. On the way to school, during bath time our around the table, talk about what good choices look like and what bad choices look like. It was a VERY good choice to build the house on the rock!
