January: Week 4

Welcome back to week 4 of our NH Kids programming! We are in the thick of learning about giving up control, letting Jesus show us the way and leaning in to the beautiful, truth holding stories of the gospel. 

Our elementary life groups looked at the topic of anger and what it looks like to be controlled by anger. Anger is such a strong emotion and God's word tells us that we shouldn't be controlled by it. Our elementary kids looked at the book of 1 Samuel chapter 24 when David spares Saul's life. David had quite a bit of self control all given to him by God. In what ways does your family need to practice self control when it comes to anger? Jesus gives us the power to overcome it - all we have to do is ask!

Our preschoolers did some serious learning today as they leaned in learning about bigger barns and what happens when we keep accumulating more and MORE AND MORE! You can find the story in Luke 12:6-21. Quiz your preschooler about today's lesson, we know they can't wait to tell you!
