December Week 1: Spend Less 🎁

Being content! It's not an easy state of mind to be in - especially during the Christmas season. Paul tells us in God's word that, “I have learned to be content with whatever I have.” Philippians 4:11

Our kids need gentle reminders that Christmas is about celebrating the gift of Jesus, not giving with the hopes of receiving something in return. For some families, shifting points of view may look like being intentional with what we are thankful for. Helping our kids recognizing their basic needs that are met on a day to day basis without even thinking about it, lets them realize how much our God has given us!

This week, let's help our kids look for ways that they can give to others without expecting anything in return AND give thanks to the Father for what He's provided. It's sure to set the tone this Christmas season!

Family Time Questions:

1. What are 2 things you are thankful for?

2. Who are 3 people you are thankful for and why?

3. What are some ways we might give to those around us this week? (Make a list as a family and then actually DO IT)
