November: Week 2 🍁

Happy Sunday Families!

Our life groups in NH Kids had a wonderful time bringing God's word to life as we figured out how to be thankful in our friendship with Jesus! Preschoolers looked at the story of David and Jonathan in 1 Samuel 18:1-4. Ask your preschooler who their friends are and why they are thankful for them! Then you can pray for their friends together as a family! Our elementary life groups continued going through the idea of contentment and looked at the story of King Ahab and Naboth's Vineyard. They learned that wanting more and more can actually make you miserable. Check it out in 1 Kings 21:1-19, 27. Just like eating in excess isn't good for you, so is having more than you need! As a family, look around, who can you help this week? What do you have in abundance that someone else might need? Stop as a family - what are somethings that you WANT that really aren't NEEDS? When you think about it, God gives us exactly what we need and we should be content!
