December Week 3: We can tell everyone!

Hey NewHope Families! We have had a blast walking through our Christmas Story in NewHope Kids. Today we took a look at the Shepherds who visited Jesus after he was born.

While Shepherds were watching their sheep, Angels appeared and told them to go and find Baby Jesus in a manger. They were amazed and ran and told everyone in town (Luke 2:8-20 ). Today your child learned how Jesus came for EVERYONE and we can tell ANYONE about it. 

For all of you preschool families, we encourage you to pull out your family’s nativity set and ask your child to reenact the Christmas story. For our elementary families, you may have noticed that your child came home with some special ornaments. Your child was challenged to tell the story of Jesus to someone else this week. They can use these to do so. The heart is a reminder of God’s amazing love for all of us. The present is a reminder that God gave us Jesus as the most amazing gift! Lastly, the cross is a reminder that Jesus came to be our savior! We encourage you to help your child tell this story to a neighbor, or cousin, or friend.
