December Week 1: Christmas is about Jesus!

Hey Families and welcome to the Christmas Series at NewHope! We had a great time at NewHope Kids. This month your children will be walking through the Christmas story. Today we learned about the Angel visiting Mary with a special message.

Today your preschooler learned how an Angel came with a very special message for Mary (Luke 1:26-38). He told her that she was going to become pregnant and give birth to Jesus. Your child was asked, “Why is Jesus Special?” They learned that Christmas is all about Jesus because Jesus is God’s Son, the Savior of the World! 

Our Elementary Schoolers dug a little deeper into this story and learned how much Mary trusted God. Mary could trust God because she knew that God was always with her! Jesus came to be our Immanuel God with us always and forever! We can celebrate because God is always with us!

Throughout this Christmas season, we encourage your family to follow along in the Bible with the Christmas story in Luke 1 and 2 and Matthew 1 and 2. This is a helpful reminder to your child that Christmas is all about Jesus!
