November Week 3: Let's Learn a Verse!

Thank you for joining us for another great day at NewHope Kids. Take a look at what your child learned about today!

Today your preschooler learned about Elijah and the poor widow (1 Kings 17:7-16). In the midst of a terrible drought, this widow was willing to share the little food she had with Elijah. God blessed her and made sure that her food never ran out. Your child learned how both Elijah and the women trusted God and He provided everything that they needed. Today your elementary schoolers took a deep dive into 2 Corinthians 9:7, which says, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give. You shouldn’t give if you don’t want to. You shouldn’t give because you are forced to. God loves a cheerful giver.” Your child learned how it’s important to not only be generous, but give with the right kind of attitude.

Throughout this month your children have also been studying a memory verse. We encourage you to write it down and hang it somewhere prominent in your home, so your entire family can put it to memory! Check out the verse below based on your child’s age group.

Elementary: “Every good and perfect gift is from God.” James 1:17a, NIrV

Preschool: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” Proverbs 3:5, NIV
