November Week 1: Let's be Grateful

Hey Families and welcome back for another great week at NewHope Church! Today we started a brand new series all about GENEROSITY and TRUST. Here is a glimpse of what your child learned about today…

Today your preschooler learned about the story of the Burning Bush and how God spoke to Moses (Exodus 3:1-18, 6:11; Psalm 118:7). God made a promise to Moses that he was going to help him and all his people who were mistreated in Egypt. Moses trusted God and did what God said. God used Moses to save the Israelite people from slavery! This week, as you say bedtime prayers with your child, cuddle them and pray this prayer over them…

“Dear God, help [child’s name] and me trust You and do what You say like Moses did. We know You love us and will always know what is best for us.”

Today your elementary schooler started their series on generosity by first learning how God is generous to us! Your child learned how every good thing we have is from God…our food, house, family, friends, etc.! However, God gave us the greatest gift of all by sending Jesus! Jesus gave up everything to save us because he loves us so much! This is the power of the Gospel and we believe this Good News can change your child’s life! We encourage you to continue this conversation at home. This may look like telling your child about how you came to know Jesus as your personal Savior. Take this week to speak with your child one on one and leave space for them to ask questions. HERE is a helpful resource to help you get started!
