September Week 5: Shine Bright!

Hey NewHope families. Welcome back for another great day in NewHope Kids! Today we wrapped up our series on shining the light of Jesus.

Today our preschoolers took a look at the story of Tabitha and how she helped people who were in need (Acts 9:36-42). Tabitha showed the love of Jesus by making clothes for people who needed them. We can also shine the light of Jesus by helping people in need. We can even be like Tabitha and give clothing to those in need. This month, as your family breaks out your fall clothes, see if there are any clothes that you can donate to our mission partner, “Note in Pocket”. These clothes go people in our very own community to help them have the clothes they need for each and every season. You can CLICK HERE to find a drop off location near you!

Today your elementary schooler learned how Jesus is the light of the world (John 8:12). This word picture Jesus gives us reminds us that Jesus is the hope for all people. Jesus came to be our savior and died on the cross to make a way for us to have a relationship with God. Here in NewHope Kids we love having conversations with your child about what it looks like to have a personal relationship with Jesus. Today we talked all about this and we encourage you to continue the conversation at home. If you need a little help starting a gospel centered conversation, HERE is a helpful resource.
