August W4: God made me Wonderful and Wise!

Hey NewHope Families! Welcome back to another Amazing Sunday! We are so glad you chose to join us this weekend! Today your child learned more about how we can live wisely and how God made us wonderfully!

Our Preschool classrooms learned one of our favorite verses, John 3:16! They heard how God loved us so much that He sent his son Jesus. Jesus came to show us God’s love and to save the world (1 John 4:9-10). Today our Elementary schoolers learned how we can always continue to grow in wisdom. When we believe in Jesus, God gives us a renewed mind (Romans 12:2) so that we can continue to learn how to be more and more like Jesus!

Throughout this month your children have also been studying a memory verse. We encourage you to practice this at home with your family. This may look like taking turns repeating it on your drive to school or encouraging your child to say their memory verse to each member of your family (even your pets!). Check out the verse below based on your child’s age group.

Elementary: “If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He will give it to you. God gives freely to everyone and doesn’t find fault.” James 1:5, NIrV 

Preschool: “How you made me is amazing and wonderful.” Psalm 139:14, NIrV
