April Week 3: Let's Learn a Verse

Hey NewHope Families! Welcome back to another Amazing Sunday! We are so glad you chose to join us this morning! Today your child continued in their series all about Patience and God’s love. Our Preschool classrooms learned all about the early church and how they expressed love to one another by sharing, eating meals together, and helping one another (Acts 2:42-47). Your child learned different ways that they can share God’s love with others! Our elementary schoolers learned the story of when the Israelites disobeyed God and built a golden calf (Exodus 32:1-35). It’s important that, even when we need to wait, we remember what is true. Your children talked through different characteristics that are true about God and how to remember these even when they walk through hard situations. 

Throughout this month your children have also been studying a memory verse. We encourage you to practice this at home with your family. This may look like taking turns repeating it around the dinner table or even saying it each night before bedtime. Check out the verse below based on your child’s age group.

Elementary: “Wait for the Lord. Be strong and don’t lose hope. Wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:14, NIRV

Preschool: “Let your light shine.” Matthew 5:16, NIV
