March Week 5: Happy Easter!

Hey Families and happy Easter! We had such a great day celebrating with your family! Today your children learned about the story of how Jesus died and came back to life (Matthew 28:1-8). Not only was this a powerful thing that Jesus did, but He did it with a purpose. We encourage you to talk with your child about the purpose for celebrating Easter. Your preschooler learned how Jesus did this because of the great love he has for everyone. Your elementary schooler learned about what this means for them specifically. They were told about how Jesus took all of our sin on the cross and gave all of us an invitation to step into a personal relationship with Him. By believing in Jesus, we can have a new life where our sins are forgiven and we are friends with God. Let this Easter be about more than the egg hunts, the candy, or even the family gatherings. Take a moment to remind your child that Easter is about Jesus! You can do this by reading the Bible together, asking your child to retell the story of Jesus, or even allowing space for your child to ask questions.
