February Week 4: Let's Learn a Verse

Hey NewHope Families! Welcome back to another Amazing Sunday! We are so glad you chose to join us this morning! Today your child finished their series all about the kindness and love of Jesus. Our Preschool classrooms learned all about how Jesus loved children (Luke 18:15-16). Jesus showed us how important children are and how much love he has for all children. Our elementary schoolers learned the importance of going the extra mile (Matthew 5:41). Sometimes we show the bare minimum of kindness to others, but Jesus calls us to go the extra mile in showing kindness.

Throughout this month your children have also been studying a memory verse. We encourage you to practice this at home with your family. This may look like taking turns repeating it around the dinner table or even saying it each night before bedtime. Check out the verse below based on your child’s age group.

Elementary: “You are God’s chosen people. You are holy and dearly loved. So put on tender mercy and kindness as if they were your clothes. Don’t be proud. Be gentle and patient.” Colossians 3:12, NIrV

Preschool: “Be kind and loving to each other.” Ephesians 4:32, NCV
