November Week 4: Remembering

Hey Families, we hope that all of you had a fun and restful Thanksgiving! We are so glad to see you back in NH Kids! Today, your children learned all about remembering God’s goodness and making a habit of being grateful.

Our preschoolers learned all about David who danced before God with all his might (2 Samuel 6:12-15; Psalm 149:1-5). With that, today’s focus was how we can thank God with music and dancing! If you are looking for some awesome praise and worship songs for your preschooler, CLICK HERE to access some of the same songs we use in NH Kids.

Our Elementary schoolers learned about remembering God’s goodness through the practice of communion (1 Corinthians 11:23-26, Exodus 12). Although we did not give out communion elements in NH Kids, we talked about why we do this and how this helps us remember the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. We talked about the importance of remembering Jesus’s love and sacrifice for us everyday and choosing to be grateful for all that God has done for us. We encourage you to talk about this with your child more at home and see what questions they may have. If your child has already made the decision to step into a personal relationship with Jesus, you may consider taking them through communion with some bread and juice from home. Beyond communion, there are many fun and creative ways that your family can choose to remember God’s goodness this week with a song, a prayer, or just talking about all that God has done for you.
