October: Week 3

Hey NewHope Families and welcome back to NH Kids! It was such a joy to spend time with your kids this morning. We had a blast in NH Kids. Here is a glimpse into what we learned about today...

You may have seen your preschooler sporting their awesome lion mask! Today we learned about Daniel in the lion's den (Daniel 6). As your child continues in their series about people in the Bible who were brave, they learned about how Daniel was brave and trusted God even when he was in a scary situation..a lion’s den! God protected Daniel and helped him! The next time your child feels afraid, ask them, “Who helps you be brave?” Remind them that God can help them be brave and they don’t need to be afraid because God is always with them and loves them! 

Your Elementary schooler also took a look at the story of Daniel. In the midst of their series on Integrity, your elementary schooler learned how Daniel had integrity because he refused to eat the food he knew he was not supposed to eat. When the king offered Daniel an amazing feast of food, Daniel chose to follow God’s rules instead and did not eat the food that he was not allowed to eat. Your child learned how they can have integrity in the little things, no matter where they are. As you go about your week, and your child finds themselves in a variety of circumstances, challenge them with this question, “how would someone with integrity handle this situation?” If your child is having trouble answering, help them come up with great solutions and act of them!
