August: Week 2

Hey NewHope families and welcome back to another great day in NH Kids. This week we continued our study in Genesis 1 all about creation! Our preschoolers learned about the next days of creation when God made the sun moon and stars, as well as the land. Our Elementary Kids took this one step further and learned not only what God made, but specifically why God made it all. They dove into their memory verse in Ephesians 2:10 and learned that God made each person with a special purpose and how we were created to know Jesus.

Today in NH Kids we spoke about how God created us to be in relationship with him and Jesus died on the cross to make this possible. We encourage you to continue these conversations at home with your child. Ask your child some of the following questions, giving them an opportunity to articulate their own faith journey.

Why did Jesus die on the cross?

Why did God make people?

What happens when we believe in Jesus?
