June: Week 3
Hey Families and Happy Father’s day! We had a blast in NH Kids today as we continue our series through the book of Acts. Today your child learned the story of Peter and Cornelius (Acts 10). Peter and Cornelius couldn’t be more opposite, but that didn’t stop Peter from sharing the love of Jesus with Cornelius. Your child learned how Jesus loves all people and wants everyone to know the good news about him.
This week, encourage your preschooler that they can be kind and friendly to everyone because Jesus wants everyone to be His friend. Remind children that it’s ok if that person doesn’t look like them, dress like them, or talk like them. Jesus loves them. Celebrate your child as you see them stepping out and making friends with others.
For your elementary schooler, set aside intentional time to talk about what this looks like in their life. Is there someone in their life that is different from them? How can they show them the love of Jesus in the midst of their differences?
For an added challenge this week, set an example for your children in what it looks like to love those who are different from you. Invite someone over to your house for dinner who doesn’t look like you.
