January: Week 3

What a great time we had in hopetown this week, we are so glad you joined us! Your preschooler looked at the story of Jesus calming the storm and what an amazing thing that was to be a part of! Check out the story in Matthew 8:23-27. Your grades chooler covered the story of working hard - it was a fun Proverb about an ant in Proverbs 6:6-8.

Part of growing up is learning responsibility and working hard! ! There are many lessons that Jesus wanted to TEACH us through these passages of scripture. Teach is the second piece of our mission statement. We want to teach those around us God’s word! Grownups/parents - are you teaching your children about what God’s word says and how we can live to honor Him in all that we say and do?

Dive in a little deeper with your family:

Engage your children with opportunities to serve in the community. There are many different ways here at newhope.

Do YOU serve your community in any capacity? The old saying “Caught not taught” rings true from generation to generation. Children learn more by what they see not by what they tell us! Actions really do speak louder than words! If you aren’t plugged in and serving anywhere, we’d love to have you plug into a serving community at newhope!
