January: Week 2
And just like that we are in week 2 of learning all about the amazing things God does and how we can be responsible! This week your grade schooler learned about sharing what they have and not being stingy. Check out the story about ALLL the barns in Luke 12:16-21. Your preschooler looked at the amazing story of the four friends who tore off a roof so they could lower their sick friend down to Jesus. This story can be found in Mark 2: 1-12.
If you look closely - you can see a common theme of “Reach” which is one of the three piece of our mission statement here at newhope. How can we REACH those around us with the hope of Jesus?
Dive in a little deeper with your family:
If you don’t already, create a rhythm of family devotions and prayer. Set aside a time during the week (maybe during dinner, before bedtime, during breakfast) where you read a story from God’s word and apply it! Don’t let it be intimidating - hopetown is here for you! Check out the link below for more resources on how and what you can teach your family!
Pick a memory verse as a family to memorize for the month of January! It’s not TOO late! Better yet, here’s the memory verse for preschool: Luke 2:47; and the one for grade school Luke 16:10. See if you can memorize it (withOUT looking at the words for help) and watch your family grow in Jesus!
