March: Week 4

Hey Families, and welcome back for another Sunday. Today our NH Kids classes followed along with our main service and learned all about showing others compassion.

Today in our preschool class, your child learned how Jesus loves EVERYONE. They have been learning about how Jesus invited all kinds of different people to follow him because he loves EVERYONE. All month long, they have been memorizing this scripture in proverbs, “A friend loves at all times.” Proverbs 17:17. This week, we encourage you, as a family, to show love to someone who doesn’t look like you. Invite someone over to dinner, bake cookies and bring them to their doorstep, or invite them over for a playdate. Put this verse into action for your child and show them how Jesus loves everyone! 

Today in our elementary classes, your child went more in depth on how they can help others in need. They learned about what poverty means and how there are people around the world that do not have what they need. They also learned that God calls us to do something about it. “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.” Proverbs 19:17. In class, your child brainstormed ways that they can help others in need, whether by sponsoring a child, giving a bag of needed items to a homeless person, or donating food at a food bank. We encourage you, as a family, to pray about how you can help others in need, then, put those prayers into action!
