March: Week 3

Hey there NewHope Families. Your child had a blast in NH Kids today! Today your preschooler learned about how Jesus helped 5000 hungry people by giving them food to eat (John 6:1-13)! This was a miracle that Jesus performed!! Your child learned how they can be like Jesus by helping! This week, give your child an opportunity to help someone. This could look like helping you with chores around the house, helping take care of a pet, or even helping to feed hungry people. Today your elementary schooler continued their series on forgiveness by learning about the unmerciful servant who did not show forgiveness (Matthew 18:21-35). Your child learned how they can show forgiveness to others because of the great forgiveness God has shown them. Throughout this series, your child has been memorizing Colossians 3:13 which says, “Put up with one another. Forgive one another if you are holding something against someone. Forgive, just as the Lord forgave you.” This week, try to memorize this verse as a family. Hang it on the fridge and repeat it at each meal.
