January: Week 1

Hey families! 

Welcome to a brand new year and a fresh start to engage in what God might have for your family! This week your gradeschooler learned all about the greatest commandment: Love God & Love Others. Check it out in Matthew 22:36-47. Seems pretty simple, right? But is it? Your preschooler learned all about Jesus teaching in the temple. You can find the story in Luke 2:41-50. 

Dive in a little deeper with your family: 

Who are you surrounding yourself with to show and reach others Jesus’ love? Neighbors? Friends? We can’t show other’s Jesus’ love if we don’t try! Make a list of those you would love to tell about Jesus and then pray as a family asking God to give you the opportunity!

Write on an index card: “Love God, Love Others” and place it in a spot in your house where you and your family will see it often as a reminder to love God and love those around you. You’ll be amazed at how the mood shifts in your house when you put God and others before you!
