March: Week 2

Hello families! We had another fantastic day in NH Kids!! Today your elementary aged child continued their series all about forgiveness by learning the story of Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10). When Jesus showed Zacchaeus forgiveness, it changed his entire lifestyle and perspective. Your child learned that when they show forgiveness to others, it can change everything! At dinner this week, ask everyone at the table to answer this question, “Talk about a time when you did something that hurt someone and you needed forgiveness. How did the other person react?” We know how great it feels to receive forgiveness and we get the opportunity to give forgiveness to others. Remind your child of the power of forgiveness. 

Today your preschooler learned about the woman who touched Jesus’ clothes and was healed (Mark 5:25-34)! Through this story they learned how Jesus is kind and gentle. We know that being gentle doesn’t always come naturally for little ones. This week, give your child opportunities to express gentleness. Invite them to help you brush your hair, pet the neighbors dog, or hold a baby (or if needed, a babydoll) and remind them that they can be gentle and kind like Jesus!
