February: Week 4
Hey Families, we had a fantastic day in NH Kids! Today both your preschooler and elementary schooler learned the story of the Roman Commander who had faith in Jesus (Matthew 8:5-13). This man was very important and a lot of people listened to him when he spoke, but he knew that Jesus was even more important. Jesus was there to help the Commander when he needed it. That’s how Jesus showed him love!
All month long your preschooler has been learning about God’s immense love for them as they memorized Ephesians 3:18 “How wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.” Say this scripture along with your child this week. Ask them to show you the motions they learned in class or even make up your own.
Similarly, your elementary schooler has been learning how they can share the same kind of love and respect like Jesus does! Their memory verse in Luke 6:31 has helped to solidify this truth. “Do to others as you want them to do to you.” As you continue in the theme of showing random acts of kindness, encourage your child to say this verse every morning and think of a way they can help others just like they would want to be helped. Be creative and think of ways you can do this as a family!
