📰 The Good News – Week 1 🎄
Hey families!
Guess what? We have GOOD NEWS! We have officially kicked off the Christmas celebrations in hopetown and we are so ready to dive in and look at what REALLY matters this Christmas. We looked at the promise God made in His word MANY years ago when God told us that there was a Savior coming. Talk about this more in depth with your family by reading the clues – Isaiah 7:13-16, Genesis 3:15 & Micah 5:2.
Keep the conversation going! Talk through these thoughts as you make dinner, on the way to run errands, or spending time together as a family!
- How do you feel when you hear someone you’ve been waiting for is coming? (excited, anxious, etc.)
- What is the BEST news you have ever heard? Imagine that feeling x 1000! It was finally time – the Savior would be coming to earth!
- What is a promise you made this week that you need to follow through with? God always follows through with His promises – so we can too!
Aren’t you glad that God followed through with His promise of a King that would literally change the world? We know that others may let us down – but God’s promises are true, rich and always perfect. We should also remember to share the news – who else in your life needs to hear there is a God who loves you and promises you a way to be best friends with Him? Pray about it as a family and make a list so you can tell the Good News to those around you!
