October: Week 5

Hello NH Kids families! We had fun learning all about God’s Word as we dove into another miraculous story and wrapped up the series. Today your Elementary Schooler heard the story of how the Israelites crossed the Red Sea in Exodus 13 & 14. This story helped to teach your child how God is in control of all things. In life there is so much that we can’t control. This feeling can cause fear and anxiety. As you drop your child off at school, ask them if there is anything they are feeling afraid of. Pray with your child over that specific fear and remind them that God is in control, even over the things we can’t control.

Your preschool child continued to learn about God’s big plans for their life and solidified their memory verse in Jeremiah 29:11. Today, ask your child what they want to do when they grow up. Tell them about how God has a plan for everyone and how God has a special plan for their life. Then ask your child to repeat to you Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord.” See if they can say it on their own and then repeat it together!
