August: Week 2

Happy Sunday NH Kids!

We had so much fun diving into God's word and learning what He had for us today.  Our elementary life groups looked at the story of creation in Genesis chapters 1 and 2. When God created man and women, He gave them charge over all the creation - they needed to take care of one another and that still applies today! God made us to take care of each other and that is a way we can show love! Ask the question this week: How do you know when someone loves you? How do you feel? When do you feel it? Asking these questions can lead to some great family time discussion as you look at ways you can take care of those in your household and those around you!

Our preschoolers reviewed God's word and learned that they are fearfully and wonderfully made! It's also their memory verse. Psalm 139:14 NIV. Work together to memorize it as a family. People are wonderfully made by God. As you take a walk as a family, take a look around and see what creations God made that you love. Maybe it's the beautiful flowers, the squirrels running around, the birds flying by or the bees buzzing. God created all of that for us to enjoy!  Then stop and thank God for making us so we could enjoy it too!
